York Ave Pizza Information

If you're in the mood for a hearty, comforting slice of pizza, York Ave Pizza on the Upper East Side of New York should definitely be on your radar. Located at 434 E 72nd St, it's one of those neighborhood spots that feels like home the moment you walk in. The cozy, laid-back atmosphere makes it the perfect place to unwind after a busy day or to grab a quick bite with friends. The moment you step through the door, the scent of fresh dough and melted cheese fills the air, setting the stage for a meal you won't soon forget.

The menu here is simple but incredibly satisfying. Of course, the star of the show is the pizza. With a variety of options, from classic cheese and pepperoni to more adventurous choices like white pizza and vegetable-packed pies, there's something to suit every craving. The crust is perfectly thin yet still sturdy enough to hold up to a generous amount of toppings. It's the kind of pizza that strikes the right balance between crispy and chewy, making every bite a little bit of heaven. If you're feeling especially hungry, their large slices are more than enough to fill you up, and the price is surprisingly affordable for the quality you're getting.

But it’s not just about the pizza here. The menu also features a solid selection of sandwiches, pasta, and salads, so there’s plenty of variety for those who want to switch it up. The chicken parmesan sandwich is a particular favorite-crispy breaded chicken, melted cheese, and tangy marinara sauce all tucked into a soft roll. It's perfect if you're looking for something filling and satisfying. Their garlic knots, served warm with a side of marinara, are another must-try-they’re soft, buttery, and full of flavor, making them the ideal appetizer to share or devour solo.

The service at York Ave Pizza is friendly and efficient. The staff is always ready with a smile, and they do a great job of making sure you’re well taken care of, whether you’re dining in or grabbing a slice to go. It’s clear that this is a local favorite, and you can tell that the people behind the counter care about what they’re serving. They take the time to chat with customers and offer recommendations, which just adds to the welcoming vibe.

While the space is pretty casual, it’s clear that York Ave Pizza knows what it’s doing when it comes to making great pizza. It’s one of those places where you can expect consistency every time you visit, which is why it’s earned such a loyal following over the years. Whether you're swinging by for a quick lunch, meeting up with friends, or just indulging in a late-night snack, this spot has the kind of comfort food that always hits the spot.

What People's Say About Place

York Ave Pizza is made different i got a chance to go there and see how and why their pizza is So good and the secret is not what you would expect. They put something really special inside this pizza and it will bring music to your mouth . A secret to the pizza good music

Absolutely love their pizza so much so that even my bosses can’t stop talking about it. We order from here pretty often, and I’ll sometimes come by on my own too. I almost wanted to gatekeep this spot because it does get busy, but it’s honestly too good not to share. The thin crust is perfect, with flavors that really pop. Their iced latte is also a win, not too earthy, just smooth and balanced.

Perfect on a frigid night for this visitor visiting HSS. The grandma crust is the best I’ve ever had, ever! slices with fresh mozz/pesto/vodka were delicious. And so hoping for some veg, they made the perfectly executed broccoli w garlic and oil. All that plus a super nice friendly team! Thanks!

Hands down, best pizza you’ll find in the UES if not NYC in general. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over 10 years and tried almost every pizza spot between 60th - 80th street in the yorkville area, and York Ave pizza is well ahead of the rest. I’ll start with the crust. Pretty standard NYC pizza crust, just the right amount of thickness, crunchy and delicious, good crust-stability always. For the thicker grandma or pan pies it’s also crispy and delicious. The sauces and toppings really make this spot the best. Whether it’s vodka or classic tomato sauce, you can’t go wrong, but I will say they make some of the best vodka sauce I’ve ever had. My go to pie is the crazy grandma or grateful bread , where you get the perfect mix of marinara/vodka/pesto. The mozzarella is fresh and delicious. And most importantly they have SEXY PEPPERONI , the little pepperoni cups that curl up when cooked. Their mozzarella sticks are also the best I’ve had, hand breaded and gently fried to a crisp im sure. I’ve also had their pasta and sandwiches, and nothing has disappointed. If you haven’t tried this spot then get to it. RUN don’t walk to have one of the best pies you’ll eat in the city.

Finally got to try York pizza been waiting all week for my cheat meal. They did not let me down. The place is super clean, nice vibe, loved the exposed brick wall. All the pizza were just made fresh. I got there right after they opened. So It was tough to pick what to eat, it all looked so good and tasty. I went to the classic pepperoni sicilian x2. The sicilian was nice size crispy good balance of cheese and sauce. Would of like more pepperoni but the amount was ok. The employees were all very nice. I will come back again on my next cheat meal.

Wow! Okay I work around the area and my coworker told me to try this place. I’m use to ordering from Little Italy but this will quickly take their spot soon. Their slices are amazing. And they have cool twists on Sicilians and grandma slices. I just have the drunk grandma and I ate it before i could take a picture. I just got cheese garlic knots. Everything is 10/10

It's a little expensive, but it's REALLY good. They make some of the craziest specialty pies which are always amazing. The fresh prince pizza is like what you remember pizza hut being in the 90s, the Buff-a-lexico is to die for, and they will gladly make fun combinations for you. Slices are so filling though that you get multiple meals out of it. The staff are great, food is great, highly recommend.

Hands down the best GF pizza I’ve had to date - the Twister is the way to go. The quality and taste reminds me so much of Rubirosa, especially because of the thin crispy crust. I will definitely be going back for sure.
